Football Recap: McFarland Cougars vs. Yosemite Badgers        
        
		
             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask McFarland). They blew past the Yosemite Badgers 42-14 at home  on Thursday. With that  win, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 27  points per game.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McFarland to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Sebastian San Juan Concha, who rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. San Juan Concha is becoming a predictor of McFarland's success: when he posts  at  least two  rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).  Samuel Sandoval did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85  receiving yards.
 McFarland's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  six times. The heavy lifting was done by  Luis Salazar and  Alex Lara, who racked up  four sacks between them.
 The  victory  got McFarland back to even at 4-4. As for Yosemite,  this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 4-4.
 McFarland has the luxury  of staying home for another  week and will welcome Fowler at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. McFarland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27  points per game  this season. As for Yosemite, they will face off against Le Grand at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Yosemite is facing Le Grand at the right time seeing as Le Grand is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
