Basketball Recap: New Jerusalem Christian Academy Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

With a playoff win on the line, New Jerusalem Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They snuck past the North Kissimmee Christian Lions with a 48-44 victory. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 93-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

New Jerusalem Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Jayden Reid, who went 6 for 9 to rack up 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Reid a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Marcellus, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards.

New Jerusalem Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points over those games. As for North Kissimmee Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.
