Southwood is a perfect 4-0 against Caston since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will square off against the Comets at 5:30 p.m. Southwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Southwood lost 26-3 to Peru on Monday.

Southwood saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coan Holloway, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Dalton Barney also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Caston's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of West Central by a score of 15-14. While the Comets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 5-1 in the first period.

Carson Harness was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Logan Mollenkopf, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Southwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Caston, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Southwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Caston when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
