Basketball Recap: Jefferson Skates Past Manhattan Christian with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Jefferson over Manhattan Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Jefferson Panthers blew the Manhattan Christian Eagles out of the water with a 72-32 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Panthers had established a 26 point advantage.

Jefferson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryian Eveland out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Eveland is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Michaela Morris, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points and five steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Manhattan Christian, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-2.

Jefferson will take on Three Forks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Manhattan Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gardiner at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
