Basketball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

If Eastern was feeling good fresh off their 45-6 takedown of Sexton on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Quakers and the Mason Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Quakers falling 54-40. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-38 back in January.

Eastern has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Mason, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

Eastern has already played their next matchup, a 39-36 victory against Pennfield on the 16th. As for Mason, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-22 defeat against Carman-Ainsworth on the 16th.
