Volleyball Recap: Marian Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Marian waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the St. Ursula Academy Arrows with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-21.

Marian found their leader in sophomore Ashlyn Pelon, who had 14 digs and two aces.

Kiki Chan and Sidney Pollex certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Chan had 11 digs and one assist, while Pollex had four digs and three aces. Pollex also posted two assists, marking her first of the season.

Marian's victory bumped their record up to 28-2. As for St. Ursula Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

St. Ursula Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against St. Joseph Academy on the 4th. Hopefully Marian paid attention to the Arrows' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Arrows at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
