Basketball Recap: Rocket City Falls Despite Big Games from Lily Trotter and Allegra Borchers

Rocket City lost against Tabernacle back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rocket City Falcons fell 37-28 to the Tabernacle Torches. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Rocket City had strong showings from Allegra Borchers, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards, and Lily Trotter, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Borchers has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Rocket City's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Tabernacle, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Rocket City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 31-26 victory against CSTHEA on the 18th. As for Tabernacle, they will head out to challenge Cornerstone Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Tabernacle: 28, Cornerstone Christian: 22.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
