Darius Bivins and Kye Robinson secure win for Alexandria City

Recap: Alexandria City Titans vs. Lake Braddock Bruins

The Alexandria City Titans waltzed into their matchup Monday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They blew past Lake Braddock 75-54. Alexandria City might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Alexandria City to victory were Darius Bivins and Kye Robinson. Bivins almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, 11 assists, and nine steals, while Robinson scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Robinson has scored at least 25% of Alexandria City's points. Another player making a difference was Sean Burbage, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Alexandria City's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Lake Braddock, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.

Alexandria City will be playing in front of their home fans against South County at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. South County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Alexandria City is ranked 12th). As for Lake Braddock, they will head out on the road to face off against West Potomac at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Potomac has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-3 during that stretch of close contests.
