Baseball Preview: Nixon Mustangs vs. Martin Tigers
For the second straight game, Nixon will face off against Martin. The Mustangs will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Nixon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Martin on Tuesday. They lost 8-2 to the Tigers. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
For Martin's part, Roberto Castillo was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Nixon's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Martin, their win bumped their record up to 8-9-1.
