Buffalo Grove has gone a perfect 10-0 against Wheeling recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bison will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:45 p.m. Buffalo Grove will be strutting in after a win while Wheeling will be coming in after a defeat.

Buffalo Grove proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Schaumburg, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since April 16th.

The team relied heavily on Erin Ryan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Wheeling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Conant.

Ava Shrake put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. Shrake was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Mia Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Wheeling's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Buffalo Grove, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Buffalo Grove beat Wheeling 5-0 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Bison repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
