Soccer Game Preview: Justin-Siena vs. Cloverdale

The Justin-Siena Braves will venture away from home to take on the Cloverdale Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Justin-Siena is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Napa just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 879th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 185th).

Meanwhile, Cloverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Justin-Siena. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Justin-Siena now has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Cloverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Justin-Siena skirted past Cloverdale 2-1 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Justin-Siena since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
