Volleyball Recap: Deweyville Comes Up Short

Deweyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in August of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Deweyville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hardin-Jefferson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Deweyville and Hardin-Jefferson will both be playing Hudson the next time they take the court. The Hawks will head out to face the Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Pirates will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
