Baseball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bethel-Tate on Friday, Spring Valley came back down to earth. The Timberwolves took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conner Cougars on Saturday.

Cole Ferguson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Garrett Wagoner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Conner, they moved to 9-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Spring Valley will challenge Wyoming at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Cowboys will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Timberwolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Conner, they will square off against Covington Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colonels will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
