Softball Game Preview: St. Martinville Tigers vs. Vermilion Catholic Eagles

The St. Martinville Tigers will challenge the Vermilion Catholic Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Martinville has given up an average of 17.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. St. Martinville came up short against Hanson Memorial, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Vermilion Catholic got themselves on the board against Westminster Christian Academy on Thursday, but Westminster Christian Academy never followed suit. They blew past the Chargers 8-0.

Vermilion Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for St. Martinville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.
