Basketball Game Preview: Middletown Middie Bears vs. Colonie Central Wolfpack

The Middletown Middie Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Colonie Central Wolfpack at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Middletown is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Middletown didn't have quite enough to beat Warwick and fell 38-36. While losing is never fun, the Middie Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Wildcats are ranked 276th).

Meanwhile, Colonie Central came up short against Averill Park on Friday and fell 42-35.

Colonie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Middletown took a serious blow against Colonie Central in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 74-42. Can Middletown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
