Recap: Crestwood Cadets vs. Kingsland Knights
This season hasn't been kind to the Crestwood Cadets, who are still winless after their fifth game. They suffered a rough 60-39 loss at the hands of Kingsland on Saturday. Crestwood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kingsland apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.
Leading Kingsland to victory were Max Erdman and Jayden Brink. Erdman scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds, while Brink scored 16 points along with 4 steals. Ayden Howard was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Crestwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kingsland, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestwood will take on Decorah-North Winneshiek at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Decorah-North Winneshiek's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Kingsland, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Schaeffer Academy at 7:15 p.m.
