It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rainier can now relate to. They fell just short of the Northwest Christian School Crusaders by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Mountaineers' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Rainier was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Northwest Christian School work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 26-24, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Rainier's loss dropped their record down to 13-5-2. As for Northwest Christian School, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Rainier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest Christian School, they will take on Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
