Soccer Game Preview: Pleasanton vs. Bandera

Pleasanton is 2-7 against Bandera since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pleasanton Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bandera BULLDOGS at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Pleasanton came up short against Gonzales last Tuesday, falling 7-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Eagles were already down 4-1.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Bandera was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of San Antonio Memorial by a score of 2-1.

Bandera's goal came courtesy of Diego Murado Gomez, who's now up to eight this season.

Bandera's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Pleasanton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Pleasanton came out on top in a nail-biter against Bandera when the teams last played back in February of 2020, sneaking past 3-2. Will Pleasanton repeat their success, or does Bandera have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
