Basketball Recap: Ariana Jenkins Key Part of Team Effort in Guardians Win

HEARTS for Jesus Christ and Heritage Christian pushed the score to 66-43 the last time they played Heritage Christian, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Guardians were the clear victors by a 32-10 margin over the Patriots. The Guardians haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariana Jenkins, who posted eight points along with eight boards and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Jenkins a new career-high. Donna Barile was another key player, putting up 13 points.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
