Softball Recap: Ragsdale Tigers vs. Southeast Guilford Falcons
After flying high against Page last Tuesday, Ragsdale came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Southeast Guilford Falcons on Friday, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.
Ragsdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hattie Hitchcock, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.
Ragsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Southeast Guilford, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ragsdale will head out to challenge Grimsley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Whirlies at the right time seeing as the Whirlies are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Southeast Guilford, they will head out on the road to face off against Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cowboys have averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season.
