Volleyball Game Preview: Walter Johnson Wildcats vs. Richard Montgomery Rockets + How To Watch

The Walter Johnson Wildcats will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Richard Montgomery Rockets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Walter Johnson will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Churchill, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 3-2 last Tuesday.

Walter Johnson took Churchill into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 19-13.

Meanwhile, Richard Montgomery entered their tilt with Rockville on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Richard Montgomery won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-8.

Walter Johnson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Richard Montgomery, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Walter Johnson couldn't quite get it done against Richard Montgomery in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
