Volleyball Game Preview: Rangely Panthers vs. Olathe Pirates + How To Watch

The Rangely Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Olathe Pirates at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Rangely will be strutting in after a win while Olathe will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Rangely duked it out with North Park on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Rangely had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 25-18, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Olathe came up short against Roaring Fork on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Pirates have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Olathe started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-6, 25-15, 25-16.

Olathe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Rangely, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Rangely took their win against Olathe when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
