League recap: Hamlin tops Wilmot to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in Eastern Coteau (9 Man) this week, Hamlin beat Wilmot 51-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Chargers.

Waverly/South Shore took down Great Plains Lutheran 58-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Lance Eide provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Deuel defeated Florence/Henry.

Dylan Reuer was a key player and the best on defense this week as Hamlin bested the Wolves. The 6-foot-3 senior grabbed 2.5 sacks.

Eide was a force in the backfield as the Cardinals beat the Flyers.

Ethan Ohland was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers fell to the Coyotes. Ohland tallied 3 receptions for 73 yards. Skylor Christensen helped Great Plains Lutheran's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 65 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Wylie Bistodeau of Great Plains Lutheran is the league leader in passing yards this season with 530. He has also thrown 2 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Logan Hammer. The Wilmot star has 12 catches for 283 yards.

One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Jeff Roloff's team and Jeff Sheehan's team face off next week.

An important game coming up in Eastern Coteau (9 Man) this week will be when Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] takes on Webster. The Tigers are in fifth place, while the Bearcats are in second place.

Waverly/South Shore led the league in scoring this week by notching 58 points on the Panthers.
