Football Recap: Specially Fit Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against P.K. Yonge last Friday, Specially Fit Academy came back down to earth. The Rams were beaten by the Lakeland Dreadnaughts 48-6 on Friday. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jerry Thomas had an outrageously good game for Lakeland as he picked up 212 receiving yards and four TDs. Thomas really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Specially Fit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lakeland, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Specially Fit Academy has already played their next matchup, a 22-6 victory against Zarephath Academy on the 24th. As for Lakeland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 44-6 win against Kathleen on the 23rd.
