Basketball Game Preview: Archmere Academy Auks vs. DuPont Tigers

The Archmere Academy Auks will square off against the DuPont Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Archmere Academy's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while DuPont has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Archmere Academy beat Tower Hill 48-43.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when DuPont took on Howard on Friday. DuPont was outmatched by Howard and fell 88-52. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Wildcats are ranked second).

Archmere Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for DuPont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Archmere Academy against DuPont in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-18 victory. Will Archmere Academy repeat their success, or does DuPont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
