Ridley hadn't done well against Marple Newtown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Raiders walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Fightin Tigers. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Fightin Tigers, too.

The team relied heavily on Evan Nangle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Wong, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ridley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Marple Newtown, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridley will challenge Interboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marple Newtown, they will face off against Harriton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
