Basketball Recap: Iola Comes Up Short

If Iola was feeling good fresh off their 67-44 takedown of Marmaton Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Iola Mustangs fell to the Santa Fe Trail Chargers 57-53. The Mustangs have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Iola lost on Thursday, don't look at Tre Wilson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Brennen Coffield also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
