Volleyball Recap: Glenwood Falls Despite Big Games from Carsyn Barker and Emersyn White

Glenwood was the 3-1 winner over Calvary Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Gators fell 3-1 to the Knights on Monday.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 14-25, 25-19.

Emersyn White and Carsyn Barker certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. White had 20 digs and two aces, while Barker had five digs and three aces. White is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Glenwood has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.

Glenwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Beulah on the 11th. As for Calvary Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Strong Rock Christian on the 9th.
