Volleyball Recap: Kimberly Falls Short Against Ranked Arrowhead

Kimberly faced Arrowhead in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Papermakers fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Papermakers in their meetings with the Warhawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Kimberly lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Finley Van Lannen, who had 17 digs and one assist. Emma Tesch was another key player, getting 15 assists and four digs.

Siena MacCudden was a one-woman wrecking crew For Arrowhead. as she had 29 digs and five assists. That's the most digs MacCudden has posted since back in October of 2024.

Kimberly's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Arrowhead, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Kimberly will challenge Appleton West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arrowhead, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hamilton on the 20th.
