New Berlin West has gone 9-1 against Pewaukee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Vikings will head out to take on the Pirates at 4:30 p.m.

New Berlin West can't be too happy about their upcoming road match considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Friday. They came up short against Brookfield Central, falling 11-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

New Berlin West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Serena Klein, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Pewaukee put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Brookfield Academy as they made off with a 19-1 win.

Hailey Hutchens was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Hutchens was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Pewaukee got a massive performance out of Mya Bloedow, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave Bloedow a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Harper Gould, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Pewaukee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.
