The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pike Central, who took down 261st ranked Forest Park, 22-7.
Southridge's CONNOR CRAIG rumbled for the longest rushing play in Pocket this season in his game against South Spencer last week. CRAIG's team bested the Rebels as he sprinted for 80 yards on the play and finished with 202 in all.
Gibson Southern's dynamic duo of Nick Sellers and Griffin Scheller proved to be unstoppable against Princeton, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sellers threw for 263 yards and 3 touchdowns and Scheller had 100 yards receiving. Mason Lankford helped Gibson Southern's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 42 yards.
The Titans' dynamic duo of Sellers and Scheller proved tough for the Tigers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Elliott Brown was a force in the backfield as Tell City beat Perry Central.
Scheller was the best wideout in the league this week as Gibson Southern bested Princeton.
Brown was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 248 yards on 33 carries as the Marksmen topped Waylon Schenk's team. Brennan Malone also contributed to the rushing game with 41 yards on the ground.
Sellers put up the best numbers in passing as the Titans topped the Tigers.
He was 10-16 with 0 interception.
Gibson Southern's Sellers and Scheller have formed a dream team this season, leading Pocket in both passing and receiving yards. Sellers has thrown for 981 yards this season, while Scheller, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 7 catches for 240 yards. Tell City's Brown leads the league in rushing yards with 1,003.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Southridge takes on Ryan George's team. As it stands, Scott Buening's team is in third, while the Marksmen are in second.
The Chargers were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in the league. Pike Central defeated the Rangers 22-7 earlier in the week.
