Volleyball Recap: Melody Mccloskey and Lindsey Baker Secure Win for Houston

Houston extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Elloise Coulter. Everything went the Mustangs' way against the Lakeland Preparatory Lions on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Coulter, who had ten digs and two aces. She has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Houston was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-5, 25-13.

Houston was led to victory by Lindsey Baker and Melody McCloskey. Baker had seven digs and four assists, while McCloskey had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces McCloskey has posted since back in August.

Houston's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Lakeland Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Houston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Brighton on the 17th. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Collierville on the 23rd.
