Basketball Recap: Fairborn Takes a Loss

Fairborn lost against Sidney back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fairborn Skyhawks lost 63-42 to the Sidney Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 691st, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 255th).

Fairborn has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Sidney, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Fairborn has already played their next contest (against Xenia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sidney will head out to face off against Piqua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sidney's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
