Softball Recap: Lyman Takes a Loss

Lyman lost against Oviedo back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Lions by a score of 12-11. The Greyhounds' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Ava Campanale stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Brooke Proulx was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Oviedo, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-16.

Coming up, Lyman will host Winter Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oviedo, they will take on Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Silverhawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
