Appoquinimink proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 14) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sussex Central Golden Knights, sneaking past 4-3. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Golden Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The victory got Appoquinimink back to even at 4-4. As for Sussex Central, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Appoquinimink will challenge Middletown at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sussex Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-5 win against Delaware Military Academy on the 22nd.
