Softball Recap: Wolfe County Starts Season with Win at Home

Wolfe County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the Lee County Bobcats 19-2. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Sami Noble made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Noble was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reaghan Patton, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Kenzie Miller was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Looking ahead, Wolfe County will take on Jackson City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Wolfe County's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Lee County has already played their next contest (against Pulaski County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
