Basketball Recap: Lake City Comes Up Short

Lake City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 63-17 loss at the hands of the Evart Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 593rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 51st).

Lake City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Evart, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

When Lake City and Evart next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lake City will face off against McBain and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Evart will try to stop Manton's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
