Volleyball Recap: Alcott Comes Up Short

Alcott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roosevelt Rough Riders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Roosevelt scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18.

Alcott's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Roosevelt, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Alcott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roosevelt, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Northtown at 6:00 p.m. The last three games the Pumas have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
