Recap: Loch Raven Raiders vs. Long Reach Lightning
The Loch Raven Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Long Reach, posting a 63-36 victory on the road. That 63-36 margin sets a new team best for Loch Raven this season.
Meona Boykin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Destaney Harris, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Loch Raven, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Long Reach, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Loch Raven will be home for the holidays to greet Long Reach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Long Reach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Loch Raven is ranked 89th). As for Long Reach, they will head out on the road to face off against Loch Raven at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Loch Raven focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
