Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Takes a Loss

St. Mary and Moore Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but St. Mary's had to settle for second. They took a 69-51 bruising from the Moore Catholic Mavericks.

Moore Catholic was led to victory by Mackenzie Felci and Brianna Caliri. Felci dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 boards, while Caliri dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Felci a new career-high in rebounds. Olivia Bruno-Dunn was another key player, putting up 11 points.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Moore Catholic, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 26-2.

As of now, neither St. Mary's nor Moore Catholic have any future games scheduled.
