Volleyball Game Preview: Apopka Blue Darters vs. Winter Springs Bears

The Apopka Blue Darters will challenge the Winter Springs Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Apopka is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Apopka's tournament run continued when they took on Windermere on Saturday. The Blue Darters fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Winter Springs made easy work of Oviedo on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Winter Springs' got stronger as the match went on, holding Oviedo to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 25-17.

Winter Springs' win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Apopka, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Apopka beat Winter Springs 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Blue Darters repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
