Basketball Recap: Loveland Triumphs

If Turpin wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Loveland, they should've done a better job of containing Katy Wilber. The Loveland Tigers walked away with a 50-37 victory over the Turpin Spartans on Thursday thanks in part to Wilber, who went 6 of 15 en route to 20 points along with eight boards and four steals. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Allen, who posted three points and five steals. Those five steals gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Turpin still got an impressive performance from Josie Carrelli, who put up ten points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nyla Hemmelgarn, who had six points and seven rebounds.

The win got Loveland back to even at 5-5. As for Turpin, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Loveland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-37 victory against Anderson on the 9th. As for Turpin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-25 defeat against Indian Hill on the 4th.
