Soccer Game Preview: George Washington vs. Magna Vista

George Washington is 1-9 against Magna Vista since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Eagles will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. George Washington has given up an average of 5 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

George Washington came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Glass, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Magna Vista won against Halifax County on Tuesday with ten goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 10-2 win. Considering Magna Vista have won three games by more than seven goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory got Magna Vista back to even at 3-3-1. As for George Washington, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

George Washington might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Magna Vista in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
