Preview: Stuart W. Cramer Storm vs. West Lincoln Rebels
Two dominant players in Taelan Whitley and Gideon Allen are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Stuart W. Cramer Storm will jump right back in to play the West Lincoln Rebels at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Stuart W. Cramer and six for West Lincoln.
On Thursday, Stuart W. Cramer was beaten by Lincolnton 93-51. While losing is never fun, Stuart W. Cramer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Lincolnton is ranked 93rd).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Whitley, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Westmoreland, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, West Lincoln pushed their score all the way to 70 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Gaston. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (64), West Lincoln still had to take the loss.
Stuart W. Cramer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for West Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
