Macon County wins going away against Christian Heritage

Recap: Macon County Bulldogs vs. Christian Heritage Lions

The Macon County Bulldogs had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 30-7 margin over Christian Heritage. The win was nothing new for Macon County as they're now sitting on five straight.

Tyler Felder was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Felder was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.

Macon County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 6.5 times. Joc Perkins was especially locked on to Christian Heritage's QB and sacked him twice.

Macon County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Chattahoochee County and 3-7 Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31.4% over those games). As for Christian Heritage, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Macon County is on the road again on Friday and play against Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Aquinas is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Christian Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
