Softball Recap: Riddle Takes a Loss

Riddle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs, falling 15-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Irish have suffered since April 22nd.

L. Gosda was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and two runs. P. Mitchell also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Riddle's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Riddle will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Umpqua Valley Christian has already played their next contest (against Yoncalla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
