Game recap: Dobyns-Bennett High School Football Team defeats Volunteer

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, Tenn.) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 43-0 victory over Volunteer (Church Hill, Tenn.) on Saturday.

The Indians were up 36-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Devaun Swafford touchdown run in the first quarter.

Malik Foreman stood out for Dobyns-Bennett in the win. The senior wide receiver ran for three touchdowns.

DB had given up an average of 12.4 points prior to the contest.



Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 63-0 win for the Kingsport school.

Dobyns-Bennett (9-0) goes up against Science Hill in a AAA District 1 game matchup next week, while Volunteer (3-6) locks horns with Tennessee also in a AAA District 1 game.
