It was a good run, but Rio Rancho unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 21-5 to the Piedra Vista Panthers. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Rio Rancho's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-7. As for Piedra Vista, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season.

Rio Rancho will square off against Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Piedra Vista, they will take on Farmington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scorpions have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
