Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Wausau West's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Wausau West unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 9-6 to the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Tony Iafalldano made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ethan Sillars, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Wausau West's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.

While Wausau West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
