7A District 8 recap November 19, 2013
East Bay moved up to 147 from 196 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 8. The Indians were able to move up by defeating Gaither 34-14.
East Bay took down the Cowboys 34-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chris Greene ran for 171 yards during the win.
Landon Galloway put up the best numbers in passing as Plant City fell to Sickles. He finished with 6 completions for 179 yards. Galloway's favorite target this week was Tavares Chase, who caught 5 passes for 157 yards.
The Raiders' Galloway and Chase led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Galloway has thrown for 1,661 yards this season, while Chase has 28 catches for 562 yards. Greene from Frank LaRosa's team leads the league in rushing with 819 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Plant City takes on second place East Bay. Plant City fell to the Gryphons last week, while the Indians defeated Gaither.
East Bay led 7A District 8 in scoring this week by notching 34 points on Jason Stokes' team. Greene ran for 171 yards in the win.
